Bill's Biography
Mr. Baroni was elected to the Senate in 2007. He served two terms in the Assembly following elections in 2003 and 2005. He was on the Hamilton Township Planning Board from 1998 to 2000, and previously served five years as chairman of the board of trustees at Mercer County Community College.
The Senator obtained his undergraduate degree in history, magna cum laude, from George Washington University in Washington D.C., in 1994, and graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1998. He is an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University Law School in Newark, where he teaches education law, voting rights and campaign finance law.
Mr. Baroni serves on the trustee boards of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, LaBoheme Opera, Princeton Pro Musica and the Hamilton Area YMCA. He is also a trustee of Visitation Home, which builds homes for New Jersey residents with disabilities.
Mr. Baroni has sponsored legislation to reform ethics in government including measures banning dual office holding, pension padding, nepotism and political contribution from companies doing business with the state. he has also sponsored bills to provide property tax relief and improve education.
Senator Baroni was born Dec. 10, 1971 in Jacksonville, Florida.
